In the Lap of Mighty Himalayas
My desire to trek in the Himalayas was sparked by my own family—particularly my brother-in-law and two sisters—who have made it a tradition to explore the majestic mountain ranges almost every year. Their journeys often combined adventure with spiritual significance, as they visited remote trails and sites of religious importance nestled in the heart of the Himalayas. Originally, the plan was to trek to Pindari Glacier in the summer of 2025, located in Himachal Pradesh, India. However, as plans evolved, the destination shifted to the iconic Everest Base Camp (EBC), and I was invited to join. Without fully grasping what the trek entailed, I eagerly said yes. From that point on, everything was taken care of by my brother-in-law. He handled all the logistics—registering my name, completing the paperwork, and even making the initial payments.
